Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the

4th Symposium on Hip Preservation Treatments: Arthroscopy, Minimally-Invasive Surgery, Physiotherapy.

This year’s event will take place on 26 – 27 October 2018, not in Białowieża as previously, but in Pabianice – in Central Poland. The agenda remains the same: therapies aimed at hip joint preservation. The programme provides for lectures (ranging from anatomy to indications and outcomes) as well as broadcasts of surgeries involving the hip and the surrounding area, including femoroacetabular impingement, derotational osteotomies, acetabular osteotomies, sciatic nerve decompression, snapping hip, repair of rotators and hamstrings, reconstruction of the hip labrum / cartilage and, last but not least, groin problems.
This year, for the first time, the Symposium will feature world-class physiotherapy specialists. We will be placing special emphasis on this diagnostic and treatment method in orthopaedics and rehabilitation. Our meeting will also be attended by the most experienced hip preservation surgery practitioners in the country. There is a plan to hold a mini-session on Well-planned arthroplasty.
Apart from the symposia sessions, physiotherapists and interested physicians will be able to take part in workshops as part of the practice session: Muscle injuries in the hip area – treatment and sonofeedback/ultrasound palpation.

The following hip surgery specialists have already confirmed their active participation:

Ehud Rath (Sourasky Medical Center Telaviv, Israel)
Bent Lund  (Aarhus University, Dania)
Manuel Ribas (Dexeus Univeristy Barcelona, Hiszpania)
Alex Moser (Vivantes Klinikum im Friedrichshain Klinik für Orthopädie Berlin, Niemcy)
Robert L. Buly (HSS, Nowy Jork, USA)
Kjeld Soballe (Aarhus University, Dania)

And so have the following physiotherapists:
Przemysław Karol Tokarek (Aspetar - Orthopedic and Sport Medicine Hospital Doha - Katar)
Ryszard Biernat (Centrum Sportu i Rehabilitacji Olsztyńska Szkoła Wyższa - Olsztyn - Polska)
Adam Michoński (Centrum Rehabilitacji Evomed – Szczecin – Polska)

Join us in the vintage industrial interiors of Hotel Fabryka Wełny****, built on the site of the former industrial empire of the Baruch family, who manufactured cotton fabrics, right next to the street where Andrzej  Wajda filmed his Promised Land. The added advantage of the new venue is its convenient location and excellent cuisine.

We invite you to register!
